The Night fury never looked so irreverent.

The keyword I've got is "Shadow".
A cat-formed Night Fury? More like Night FURRY lol.
I see there are other bright colours like blue and purple highlighting the fringe of shape, it's a really cool idea because it makes a contrast with the blackness and brings out the dark shadow more, giving out a mysterious aura and at the same time eye-catching - It's a really cool Night FURRY there!
The source of light is only the left side, right, so the blue must be resembling the shadow. Usually we just use a darker shade for shadowing, but what you did there is much cooler.
Plus, the background is awesome! Almost like a symbol, I think. The anchor-like tail and the eye there give me the chills. Not the mention the starry night for filling, it's like telling me to watch out for Night Fury in the sky!
There are some unique texture on the metal collar and strap. Did you use a different brush or did you use a texture layer?
My general feeling towards your piece here is that the linework is very neat. The colours are nicely chosen. Nice work and keep it up!
I have a feeling this work can be a desktop background. lol.
